Duty, Privilege and Interest to select Christians for their rulers
The First Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, John Jay, once said that it is to the benefit of the American People to choose Christians to serve them in government. Jay said:
“Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers, and it is the duty, as well as the privilege and interest of our Christian nation, to select and prefer Christians for their rulers.”
Quoted from: Barton, David, Original Intent: The Courts, the Constitution, and Religion (Aledo, TX: Wallbuilder Press, 2010), 350: originally quoted from Jay, William, The Life of John Jay (New York: J. and J. Harper, 1833), Vol. II, 376, to John Murray, Jr., October 12 1816.
Jay, as well as other Founding Fathers, realized that our Freedoms rested on God, and our laws and unalienable rights were founded upon the word of God. They recognized that it was those who had an active, repentant, confessing, and living relationship with God through Jesus Christ that were able to see this world through the truth of His words recorded in the Bible. These servants of Jesus would be able to serve others best because they would understand the world and life as it truly is, because of God's revelation in the Bible. This revelation is freely available today to anyone who will seek God out through His word, and ask Him to reveal himself to them through his Holy Spirit. It was Jesus who said to his followers "If anyone wants to be first, he must be last of all and servant of all” in Mark 9:35.
Our Founding Fathers also recognized that those who served God in Jesus Christ would one day have to give an account for their service, or lack thereof, during the judgment of God. This belief in a supernatural author of life enabled those who trusted in God, through Jesus, to rely upon Him to provide the foundation for integrity. These servants of Jesus recognized God’s word as the foundation of truth, and it served as a spring board to the pursuit of integrity, and honest pursuits in Science, History, Law, and other fields. Contrary to opinion, God’s word is not a hindrance to honest pursuit of truth in life – it is the source of it. The Founding Fathers realized these servants looked to God’s word not only to form their beliefs, but as the authority for all of life. God's word was to be actively lived out in every area of life. Our Founding Fathers knew this mainly from the fact that they had come into just such a relationship with God through Jesus Christ and it had changed their life 180 degrees for the good. It changed not only their lives, but what became the United States of America. It served the people with solutions they welcomed rather than the tyranny they revolted against.
Government founded on God’s plan and purpose
Our Pilgrim Fathers recognized that the pursuit of God, and His word, was not only a benefit to an individual life, but also the source of solutions for good government. They further recognized that government should serve in accordance with, and to advance, God’s plan and purpose, as set out in God's word. It is God's word, plan, and purpose which are the source of good. The Pilgrims undertook
“In the name of God Amen. We whose names are underwritten, the loyal subjects of our dread sovereign Lord King James, by the grace of God, of great Britain, France, and Ireland[,] king, defender of the faith, and ┌ ·

What kind of government?
This is the kind of Government Biblical Christian Solutions In Government is looking for. Not a tyrannical Federal Government that suppresses religious freedom or uses its authority to control religious expression, but a Government that is filled up with servants of God who actually really believe God’s word, who understand why it is true, who have and pursue integrity, and who look to put God's word into action in their own lives while serving others, including in government and public policy. Why should the very people with God’s word be exempt from allowing that word to bring fulfilling solutions?
Biblical Christian Solutions In Government looks to do this through:
Solutions
-
Advocating for Biblically shaped sound solutions through education
-
Advocating for Biblically shaped sound solutions through lobbying.
-
As a secondary purpose (and as a primary purpose of a future sponsored sister organization): Actively seeking the service of those who would truly serve the people out of a true relationship with God through the Biblical Jesus; who see the world through the view of God's word; who seek God’s word as the authority for life – For real and not just lip service; and who truly recognize it as an honor to serve God, out of love for Him, by serving the people who form the Government of the United States of America (of the people, by the people, and for the people).
