Consider Asking for a Federal Marriage Amendment

Please consider asking your Federal Congressional Representative and Senators, State Legislators, as well as your State Governor to consider proposing a Federal Marriage Amendment to protect marriage.  Marriage has significant issues associated with it, including the morality of appropriate sexuality (verses destructive effects of sexuality), moral fiber of a community, children, and religious freedom (the ability to practice faith and speak on topics regarding marriage and sexuality as defined in the Bible).
 
Without a constant drum beat upon Federal and State Legislatures and Governor's offices as quickly as possible, this issue will not gain the momentum it needs to reverse the effects of this decision and protect not only marriage (and the subsequent legal issues there), but also religious freedom and freedom of speech.

Here is sample text that I sent (feel free to use it, change it, or come up with your own):
In light of the Supreme Court Ruling in OBERGEFELL ET AL. v. HODGES, DIRECTOR, OHIO DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, ET AL., where Chief Justice Roberts, Thomas, and Scalia state (as does Alito) that the majority of the court abused their authority and overstepped the boundaries of the judiciary:
 
I ask that you press beginning today for the proposal on the floor of Congress, or among the States calling for a constitutional convention, a Federal Marriage Amendment that protects the definition of marriage, as defined under Natural Law, as one man and one woman alone.
 
Marriage has significant issues associated with it, including the morality of appropriate sexuality (verses destructive effects of sexuality), moral fiber of a community, children, and religious freedom (the ability to freely practice faith and freely speak on topics regarding marriage and sexuality as defined in the Bible).
 
"The majority’s decision is an act of will, not legal judgment. The right it announces has no basis in the Constitution or this Court’s precedent." (Justice Roberts with Thomas and Scalia in dissent of Obergefell v. Hodges)
 
"To prevent five unelected Justices from imposing their personal vision of liberty upon the American people [which is what the majority has done], the [past] Court has held that 'liberty' under the Due Process Clause should be understood to protect only those rights that are “‘deeply rooted in this Nation’s history and tradition.’” Washington v. Glucksberg, 521 U. S. 701, 720–721 (1997). And it is beyond dispute that the right to same-sex marriage is not among those rights. See United States v. Windsor, 570 U. S. ___, ___ (2013) (ALITO, J., dissenting)(slip op., at 7). . . . For today’s majority, it does not matter that the right to same-sex marriage lacks deep roots or even that it is contrary to long-established tradition. The Justices in the majority claim the authority to confer constitutional protection upon that right . . . .  Today’s decision usurps the constitutional right of the people to decide whether to keep or alter the traditional understanding of marriage. The decision will also have other important consequences.  It will be used to vilify Americans who are unwilling to assent to the new orthodoxy."  (Justice Alito with Scalia and Thomas in dissent of Obergefell v. Hodges)
 
Again, please press beginning today for a Federal Marriage Amendment that protects the definition of marriage as one man and one woman alone.
